Twin Pregnancy Announcement Ideas
If you’re pregnant with twins, you may be thinking about how to announce the news. I mean this isn’t just a normal pregnancy – you’re carrying TWINS! So, to curate the best ideas, I connected with some awesome twin blogs and asked their twin pregnancy announcement ideas.
If you’re pregnant with twins, congrats! I’ve compiled some resources to help you through this amazing journey:

“Reading and learning are big for us as a family, so we wanted to incorporate it into our twin pregnancy announcement. We headed to our local library (which is right across the street from us – amazing) and asked our photographer friend to snap some pics of us reading from a twin book. Zoom in and look at the cover of the book!”

“We announced our twin pregnancy at 7 weeks, the day after we found out we were having twins (which happened to be our wedding anniversary!). I chose to include many elements of our journey into our pregnancy announcement, including needles from my IVF procedure, as well as a tribute to our first daughter who we lost midway through pregnancy.
We chose to announce earlier than usual since most of our contacts already knew we were undergoing IVF and it would have been extremely difficult to keep our pregnancy under wraps (plus I’m terrible at keeping secrets and wanted to tell the world as soon as possible!). Never let anyone tell you you’re announcing too soon. Our twins are now 1 month old and coming closer to their NICU discharge with every passing day!”

We were getting ready to leave town the next day for a family beach vacation and both my husband and I were incredibly giddy to finally find out what genders our twins would be. I was nearly 16 weeks pregnant!
Since we were having twins and as my husband and I each have one sister, we decided to incorporate the 2 future aunts into the surprise. I bought FOUR tubes of lipstick (2 pink and 2 blue). I gave each sister one of each color and an envelope with one twin’s gender inside. They selected the lipstick according to the gender they had in their envelope and brought it outside to where my husband and I were both blindfolded and waiting.
I asked for Baby A’s lipstick first (and put that on my bottom lip as Baby A was the one on bottom) and then Baby B’s lipstick second (and put that on my top lip as Baby B was on top). While still blindfolded, I kissed my husband. On the count of 3, we removed our blindfolds and saw the colorful “results” on each other’s lips! One of my favorite memories ever!!
I had gone to the doctor for an ultrasound that would tell us the gender results. The doctor secretly wrote down each gender in two sealed envelopes, but I torturously waited for several days to open it until the gender reveal with family.

” I announced my twin pregnancy by sending out a card to my family with my sweet pup Winnie telling the news. However, because my twins were born at 28 weeks, we didn’t get to announce our pregnancy to friends and acquaintances quite as we had planned. In fact, I had many awkward conversations with people saying I was pregnant with twins that had actually already been born and were in the NICU.”

“When we announced our pregnancy I just posted this to social media.
The Bryan established 2014 was a wedding present and my dad knit us all these crimson and grey slippers. The knit baby slippers were extra special because my grandpa (my dads dad) knit my twin sister and i little baby slippers when we were babies.
It was funny because at first we got a couple ‘congratulations’ and then people were like, ‘wait are you having twins?!’ We were overjoyed.”

”This is how we announced our pregnancy at easter. We had been together 7 years, married for 7 months 😂. Never did we expect twins even though I have twin brothers.
The girls were born at 33 weeks weighing 3lb2 & 3lb9.”

“We actually videoed the whole thing and went around to our families and told them face to face. We had already had one scan and got told one baby and went back for a second and found out we were having twins!”

“We posted this with the following caption:
Super excited to announce that Joe and I are expecting twins this Summer! #doubletrouble #babylove #twiceasnice”

“BABY ANNOUNCEMENT: We are thrilled to finally announce ‘Thing 3’ – Baby Craig is due September 2020! We have been keeping a little secret and now my mess of a life for the past 3 months might make a bit more sense.
It’s been far from smooth sailing, but this baby must be tough. It’s survived the kids mumps, scarlet fever, countless doctor and hospital waiting rooms/stays, no sleep, and a beating from the burglars! And to add to all that I’ve had a couple of scares and horrendous morning sickness. (also note to self: never attempt a yoga class when nauseous again). ⭐️
It’s safe to say that Ollie and Harrison are going to be the best big brothers and they are thrilled about it! We call the boys Ollie-boo-bah and Harry-boo-bah, and the first thing Ollie said was “a baby-boo-bah”. Of course Harry instantly crushed the moment, by asking if it was a baby elephant Gotta love him! We can’t wait to share our new chapter with you all ❤️”

“My twin pregnancy was a very unexpected one. I have my tubes tied in Feb 2018 & found out I was pregnant with twins in the ER September 2018. I was so sick and couldn’t find out what was wrong with me and it was a twin pregnancy.
We called my close family members and told them right when I found out. Me and my family were shocked with the news knowing that I had surgery done at the beginning of the year. Not your typical announcement but that’s how it really happened. Babies will be 1 tomorrow!”
