Week 35 Twin Pregnancy Experience: What I Avoid in Pregnancy
There have been a few days in my week 35 twin pregnancy experience where the symptoms have hit me hard. A twin pregnancy is truly not for the weak. We’ve even had the in laws in town this week to help out, which has been wonderful.
And even despite that, it’s been hard. I’ll be real and tell you that I’ve broken down more than once just from the utter, unrelenting, increasing discomfort (and let’s be real, hormones). There have been moments where it’s felt hard to just get through the day to day. Luckily we’re all ready for babies now, having picked up all our baby gear to make life with newborn twins easier. Because I’m barely able to be on my feet any more.

The worst part is not the pain, though it’s certainly there. It’s more the itchiness, and the restlessness, where you just can’t get comfortable in your own skin. I’d sometimes rather scratch my skin raw to deal with pain instead of itch.
All that said, there are only a few more weeks. A few more weeks of being pregnant, of feeling this unbelievable love, of carrying my babies with me, of getting a constant hug from them. So I’m trying, trying to focus on that instead of the physical uncomforts.
In other news, or perhaps just to distract myself, a friend recently asked me what restrictions there were in pregnancy. As I started to write them all out, I realized I’ve been following so many!
Now not every woman will choose to follow each of these, and there may be some missing. Many women rock stilettos and get highlights in the 2nd trimester with no concern – cheers mama! This is just my personal list, and is not necessarily the right mix for you. The restrictions also change over time, so I always recommend checking with your doctor on what restrictions they suggest for you.
